Sound wave therapy was developed by a famous
German professor, Dr. Schliephake. Sound waves
are mechanical vibrations which travel at different
velocities in different medias. They cause movement
of substances in the body from the size of tissues
down to the size of cells.
The particles brought into
motion follow a direction back and forth from the source.
Cells forming human tissue transmit the sound wave
energy to adjacent cells while at the same time absorbing
some of the energy.
This process continues until all
of the energy has been absorbed and the wave ceases
to propagate.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Different cells which make up human tissue have
different
characteristics and therefore have their own natural or
resonant frequencies.
When cells are struck by the sound
wave nearest their own natural frequency, they oscillate
more strongly.
This is how we hear and distinguish
different tones.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INTRASOUND is a
rate of vibrations which can be sensed
by the human ear, 20 to 20,000 vibrations per second (Hz).
The frequencies above this range are ultrasound and those
below are infrasound.
They cannot be heard.
SONAFON
produces mixed frequencies in the intra sound range,
the natural frequency of living cells and most tissues in
our body.
This causes no significant temperature increases
and therefore does not require the precautions usually
associated with ultrasound. When massaging with the
SONAFON, little energy is needed to yield
a powerful
sensation.
The key to SONAFON effectiveness is
its ability to trigger resonance across the wide range
of body cell frequencies.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Physiology: The mixed frequencies adapt in a
physiological
way to the conditions of the tissues. An intense
massage is created within
the affected tissue at the cellular
level, and as the cells collide and oscillate back and forth, it
generates compression and dilation zones.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is through intensive stimulation of the SONAFON, that benefits of the natural function
of circulation and the nervous systems are achieved.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INTRASOUND
waves spread out in substances having
low resistance, like muscles and bones.
Therefore, significant relief is obtained,
particularly when treating joints. The waves enter
the joints,
penetrating skin and fat layers as well as the
protective tissue surrounding the joints.
The ability of
INTRASOUND to transmit through these layers
allows deep-seated and superficial areas to benefit.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INTRASOUND
treatment is excellent for cranial use,
and for sinus congestion. The intensity can be adjusted to a very low level and
therefore,
the SONAFON is also excellent for areas too
painful or acute for hands-on work or ultrasound.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SONAFON
therapy is Ideal:
A wide intensity range
allows for gentle massaging those sensitive areas.
It is also
very effective in cases of injuries without provable
fracture, or muscle strain
- such as sprains, blows,
bruises, and many sport injuries, especially near the joints.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The discomfort very often disappears rapidly after
the
joint
becomes mobile again.
